First Prod

So we have a typhoon from Hawaii here. You wouldn't know it by how it looked this morning. Here is a picture post that illustrates not at all how fucking miserable the weather was today.

This is the SkyTrain, which I take more or less every day at disgusting hours to get to uni (not this particular one - it's on the wrong side). Notice the repeating images of Simon Cowell. Ladies and gentlemen, no one deserves to see that first thing in the morning commute. Note that the pale sky predicts later woe.

This is what's located between two art studio buildings at UBC. I ... am not quite sure what's gone on here. But it does give you a good idea on what to do with squalling babies on the bus.

The bookstore is having its November sale right now, and you find odd things for cheap (well, cheap as you can get it in a uni bookstore). Above, a DIY tapas set. For a grand price of ...
The set itself is cheaper than a number of tapas options in Vancouver. Darlings, I think we're being lied to.

(And the suspicious red blotch is some kind of seasoning, as opposed to a dodgy blood spatter. My cellphone camera quality is rubbish, contrary to what its promotional pamphlets say.)

Jumping queue to another topic, a note to bus drivers:

If it is pissing down with gale force winds, please do not decide to arbitrarily skip a bus time at the station and force us to wait for the next one. It would also be nice if you would not have us shiver in the cold and damp divine floodwaters as you blithely smoke a fag from the doors of a resting bus some distance away, before driving up at exactly the scheduled time. And then asking if it were raining outside.

I know the stereotype is to scratch out someone's eyes, but frankly the workshy bastard I had to deal with today would deserve the forced removal of both corneas.
